From the\u00a0alligator\u00a0bikte to the Motorcycle Tank. 8 strange vehicles around the world.<\/p>\n<h2>The world\u2019s biggest motorcycle<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/uphaa.com\/uploads\/567\/motorcycle-big-uphaa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"630\" \/><br \/>\nAlmost thirty feet (9 metres) long, ten feet (3 metres) high and weighing as much as a school bus, the name emblazoned along the side of this menacing two-wheeled beast says it all \u2013 it\u2019s the \u201cMonster\u00a0Motorbike\u00a0from Hell\u201d. Designed and built in Perth, Australia, by\u00a0stunt driver\u00a0Ray Baumann where it\u2019s been wowing fans with its car and caravan crushing capabilities, the Monster\u00a0Motorbike\u00a0is powered by\u00a0a Detroit\u00a0Diesel truck\u00a0engine and six-speed Allison automatic and uses a two-speed Eaton differential from a road train to drive a massive chain on each side of the one-metre wide rear wheel.<br \/>\nTaken from a Caterpillar 80 tonne\u00a0front end loader, the wheels and tyres alone are almost 10 feet (3 metres) high.<br \/>\nWeighing in at 13.6 tonnes (picture 10 family cars or a school bus), the Monster\u00a0Motorbike\u00a0is heading to Australia\u2019s east coast where it\u2019s sure to be a star attraction at the Melbourne Motor Show beginning in late February.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gizmag.com\/monster-motorbike\/8731\/\">link<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>The Motorcycle Tank<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/uphaa.com\/uploads\/567\/kettenkrad.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"555\" \/><br \/>\nThe Kettenkraftrad, type HK 101 is one of the most unique vehicles developed during the Second World War. The \u201ctracked motorcycle\u201d concept was conceived and patented by a German inventor, Heinrich Ernst Kniepkamp, in June of 1939. This was in response to a request for a fast, tracked vehicle capable of moving small loads in mountainous terrain.<br \/>\nThe web sites say there were about 8400 Kettenkrads produced during the war and over 500 afterwards. Some collectors keep them going<br \/>\nSpecs say they could get up to 45-50mph with the 4 cylinder, 1478cc gasoline engine sourced from Opel, while the vehicle itself was made by NSU..<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kettenkrad.com\/intro.html\">link<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Man attaches full-sized car to his motorcycle<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/uphaa.com\/uploads\/567\/motorcycle-car.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nThere are motorcycle sidecars, and then there are motorcycle sidecars. This particular mash-up is dubbed the \u201cSnaefell\u201d and is the work of Francois Knorreck. It took him a whopping 10 years and over $20,000 to complete. The motorcycle is a Laverda, and the car itself is actually cannibalized from several different vehicles.<a href=\"http:\/\/dvice.com\/archives\/2009\/06\/ultimate-sideca.php\">link<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Alligator Motorcycle<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/uphaa.com\/uploads\/567\/Alligator-bike.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nJim Jablon used the skin of a dead\u00a0alligator\u00a0to create one of the strangest bikes ever seen on the roads of Florida.<br \/>\nIronically enough, Jim Jablon\u2019s \u2018Gator Bike\u2018 was created using the skin of an\u00a0alligator\u00a0killed by authorities, but it\u2019s now used to raise funds for a wildlife foundation.\u00a0Alligator\u00a0are constantly culled, in order to keep their numbers under control, and most of the skins end up pinned up in people\u2019s yards. So Jim thought to put one to good use and get some exposure for his Wildlife Rehabilitation of Hernando (WROH) foundation. That\u2019s basically how the Gator Bike was born.<br \/>\nThe Gator Bike took Swedish leather expert Benny Ohrman a full year to complete. The skin and tail come of the bike, but the\u00a0alligatorhead is fixed in place and has the speedometer and the rest of the gauges in the back of the head.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s worth mentioning the Gator Bike comes with a powerful Ultima engine, and over $86,000 to make.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.odditycentral.com\/pics\/gator-bike-is-an-alligator-on-wheels.html\">link<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>It\u2019s Not a Motorcycle, Baby. It\u2019s a Mobile Barbecue Pit.<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/uphaa.com\/uploads\/567\/motorcycle-bbq-pit.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nWhen Andrew Fishel, the owner of New York restaurant RUB, wanted \u201cthe sickest, baddest thing in the world,\u201d he commissioned Orange County Chopper (of the American Chopper TV show fame) to create a mobile BBQ pit.<br \/>\nWas it really that good of an idea to have what amounts to a giant wood oven inches from a gas tank? But the RUB guys have already cooked ribs, brisket, and pork butt on it, and they aren\u2019t dead yet. When asked if it was dangerous, Fischel replied breezily, \u201cI don\u2019t know. No one\u2019s ever built one of these before.\u201d Let\u2019s hope we don\u2019t find out the hard way.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/newyork.grubstreet.com\/2007\/08\/its_not_a_motorcycle_baby_its.html\">link<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>The VW Motorcycle Sidecar<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/uphaa.com\/uploads\/567\/vw_sidecar.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"297\" \/><br \/>\nThis VW sidecar was built by Jason Dyer of Resto-Tec out of the UK, which makes sense since the side car is on the left side of the Lambretta scooter. It was featured in July 2007 issue of Scootering magazine.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.motorcycle.com\/2009\/09\/30\/funnies\/the-vw-motorcycle-sidecar\/\">link<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Motorcycle Motorhome<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/uphaa.com\/uploads\/567\/motorcycle-motorhome.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nEveryone knows the biggest problem with motorcycles is that they lack a trunk, which makes it hard to take them very far since you have no place to put your stuff. Well, that\u2019s no longer a problem with this crazy motorcycle motorhome which has the front end of a chopper and the back end of an RV. Of course the\u00a0RV part\u00a0has flames on the side so you can maintain your street cred with the biker<br \/>\nset.<a href=\"http:\/\/craziestgadgets.com\/2008\/05\/25\/motorcycle-motorhome\/\">link<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>World\u2019s fastest Bike<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/uphaa.com\/uploads\/567\/ultramotorcycle_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nThe Dodge Tomahawk, powered by a Dodge Viper V10 engine that produces 500bhp \/ 525 lb-ft torque, is claimed to be the world\u2019s fastest motorcycle, rocketing from 0-60mph in just 2.5-seconds. It has an estimated top speed of 300mph.
