Facebook adds Location: Facebook Places
Finally Facebook has partnered with Gowalla and Foursquare to create Facebook Places.
They just updated the iPhone app but it is still not working. Nothing on the web yet.
A lot of questions though: How are they going to use Places? How are they going the manage check-ins? They said they were partnering with Gowalla and Foursquare but I cannot see how. Is Facebook going to kill this two successful startups?

Well, I updated the iPhone app, and there was an error. I logged out and now I cannot log in again.
I read they are rolling this out progressively.
For what I’ve seen, this is going to be big. RIP foursquare and Gowalla….

I found out why I got the message with trying to log in on my iphone 3gs with 3.1.2 Facebook app: “unable to connect to facebook please try later iphone”
The problem is for jailbroken phones using biteSMS or iPhoneDelivery (the one I use to know when SMS are delivered).
If you remove this, it works. Petty I could not find a work around.
